Air New Zealand Boeing 777-319ER ZK-OKQ, which has been under maintenance at Singapore since 2nd November, positioned Singapore – Auckland this morning as NZ6014. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 44J/44W/244Y to 44J/54W/244Y. This means that all Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300ERs are now in this configuration.

Air New Zealand Boeing 767-319ER ZK-NCL was withdrawn from service at Auckland in the early hours of this morning after arriving as NZ108 from Sydney and entered the Auckland maintenance facility .

Air New Zealand A320 ZK-OAB, which has been under maintenance at Christchurch since 27th June, returned to service early this morning operating NZ500 Christchurch – Auckland. The aircraft has been repainted from Crazy About Rugby into Black/Black Fern livery.

Air New Zealand A320 ZK-OJF, which has been under maintenance at Christchurch since 19th May, undertook a Christchurch – Christchurch test flight this morning. This may have been intended as a positioning flight to Auckland as the aircraft headed straight for the North Island over Nelson before turning back to Christchurch.

Air New Zealand A320 ZK-OJC, which has been under maintenance at Christchurch since 5th November, positioned Christchurch – Auckland this morning as NZ6234, however just to the north of New Plymouth the aircraft turned back to Christchurch for further attention. During the afternoon the aircraft successfully positioned Christchurch – Auckland as NZ6234D then returned to service operating NZ705 Auckland – Sydney.

Air New Zealand A320 ZK-OAB, which has been under maintenance at Townsville since 25th November, positioned Townsville – Cairns this afternoon as NZ6203. The aircraft has been repainted from Crazy About Rugby livery, however we have not yet sighted the aircraft to confirm it is now in White/Black Fern Livery.

Air New Zealand Boeing 777-219ER ZK-OKD, which has been under maintenance at Auckland since 16th October, returned to service this afternoon operating NZ119 Auckland – Sydney. The aircraft has been reconfigured to 26J/40W/246Y with ten abreast seating in Economy. All Air New Zealand Boeing 777-200ERs are now in this configuration.

Air New Zealand A320 ZK-OJB, which has been under maintenance at Christchurch since 22nd March, positioned Christchurch – Wellington as NZ6568 this morning. The aircraft then operated an additional Wellington – Dunedin rotation as NZ1685/NZ1686, an additional Wellington – Christchurch service as NZ1351 and an additional Christchurch – Dunedin rotation as NZ1693/NZ1694.

Air New Zealand B777-319ER ZK-OKO Unveiled in Smaug Livery.

Air New Zealand Boeing 777-319ER ZK-OKO, which has been under maintenance at Auckland since 18th November, was unveiled today wearing a special “Smaug” livery for the upcoming release of the movie The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The aircraft then returned to service as NZ6 Auckland – Los Angeles.

Air New Zealand Boeing 747-475 ZK-SUH, which has been under maintenance at Auckland since 23rd September, undertook an Auckland – Auckland test flight as NZ6061 this afternoon before re-entering service as NZ8 Auckland – San Francisco.

Air New Zealand A320SL ZK-OXB, which has been under maintenance at Christchurch since 17th September, was unveiled today in the new Air New Zealand livery and undertook a Christchurch – Christchurch flight as NZ6589 for publicity photographs to be taken.

B767-300ER ZK-NCG Auckland Test Flight.

Boeing 767-319ER ZK-NCG, which has been under maintenance at Auckland since 19th June, operated an Auckland – Auckland test flight today as NZ6003.

Eagle Air Beech 1900D Fleet Stopped for Inspections.

The 18 strong Eagle Air Beech 1900D fleet have been stopped for inspections today following the discovery of hairline cracks in the tail of one aircraft during routing maintenance. Three of the first four aircraft to be inspected were discovered to be affected by the cracks.

Air New Zealand B737-300 ZK-NGR Test Flight and Return to Service.

Air New Zealand Boeing 737-33A ZK-NGR followed up its test flight on 8th July with a further Christchurch – Christchurch test as NZ6500 this afternoon. This proved successful and the aircraft returned to service as NZ542 Christchurch – Auckland.

A320 ZK-OJK Returns to Air New Zealand.

Airbus A320 ZK-OJK departed Seletar today routing as NZ6390 Seletar – Cairns – Christchurch.

This aircraft was delivered to Air New Zealand subsidiary Freedom Air in May 2005 before departing on lease to TAM Airlines of Brazil in July 2006.

The addition of this aircraft brings the A320 fleet up to seventeen.

Mount Cook Airlines ATR72-500 Fleet Grounded.

Mount Cook Airlines grounded all eleven of its ATR-72s today after cracks were found cracks were found around the cockpit windows on one aircraft. Two aircraft were released back into traffic this afternoon after passing the inspections.

ZK-OJN Returns from Maintenance.

Airbus A320 ZK-OJN returned to service today as NZ801 Christchurch – Brisbane having been under maintenance at Christchurch since 29 October.

ZK-OKM Stopped for Premium Economy Reconfiguration.

Boeing 777-319ER ZK-OKM was removed from traffic at Auckland this morning after arriving as NZ1 from London Heathrow and Los Angeles. The aircraft will now have the Premium Economy cabin reconfigured with one less row of seats.

747-400 Xiamen Maintenance Swap.

Boeing 747-419 ZK-NBV operated NZ99 Auckland – Tokyo Narita today then positioned to Xiamen as NZ6042. At Tokyo Nartia Boeing 747-475 ZK-SUH, fresh from maintenance at Xiamen, took over for the return NZ90 to Osaka and Auckland.
